Crown Ace Hardware - Huntington Beach

**Rating: 1/5** Ace Hardware Paint Department – Adams St., Huntington Beach** Third visit in one week. I was first in line with three cans to mix. The employee started my first can, then abandoned me to help two customers who arrived after me — mixing their paint, chatting, ringing them out. Both of them. Start to finish. I stood there holding two empty cans for 45 minutes. No "be right back." No eye contact. Nothing. Just invisible. When every other customer had finally left, he came back — still no apology, no urgency, no acknowledgment that anything was wrong. After 45 minutes of being ignored, the least I expected was a simple "sorry for the wait." I didn't even get that. This kind of service is genuinely disheartening. I kept giving this location the benefit of the doubt — three trips in one week — and this is how it ends. I'm writing this while still waiting for my paint. I'm a Huntington Beach resident. I won't be back to this location.

There is an old lady named Barb standing in front that is completely rude and unwilling to help. When you do get her lazy behind to help, she is completely unknowledgeable and rude. What a complete waste of air. People like that just need to stay home. In response. Does it really matter that Barb has been working there for a long time?? All that means is that she’s been giving horrible customer service for many years.Does that make it right for her to have a bad attitude and be completely knowledgeable about the department that she’s working in? I think not. I hope David the manager does what he said he’s going to do about the situation.

Great Ace location here in Huntington Beach. Always stocked with the essentials for home projects and even a great place to find unique items as well. Store is clean and well organized and the staff are always super helpful.

The customer service here is almost too good. Every employee within eyesight greeted me and offered assistance. Nicholas went above and beyond with helping me find the right jumper box / air compressor combo. I was dead set on a full size one, not trusting the new pocket rockets. He told me about his personal experience with the Nebo brand and was so genuine and honest it was easy to trust his word and purchase one. I then took up more of his time asking about future purchases of other Nero products and he patiently answered all of my technical questions, even though he knew I wasn't buying today. Give the man a raise and a promotion, he's a perfect example of the positive competence that sets Ace apart. 6 out of 5 stars.
